At Yes Counseling, I believe that resilience is a community act. The Community Impact initiative focuses on the intersections of mental health, legal safety, and immigrant justice. I launched the Consulting branch of Yes Counseling to provide the direct advocacy and safety planning that families in crisis need but traditional clinical systems often overlook.

Our 2026 Focus Areas (The 3 Pillars):
Family Preservation & Safety Planning: Helping families navigate NJ Standby Guardianship to ensure children never enter the foster care system during a parental crisis.
Sacred Space Circles (Restorative Justice): Bilingual virtual spaces for grief and resilience, incorporating restorative writing, breath work and sound therapy, esoteric and expressive arts for families and front-line helpers.
Educational Empowerment: Providing ESL advocacy spaces that teach the language of navigation—empowering parents to communicate with school districts and legal systems.

Those who stand on the front lines of community crisis—the advocates, educators, and rapid responders—often carry the weight of the stories they hold. You cannot pour from an empty cup, and you cannot sustain a movement on burnout.
