For Individuals and Families
If your attorney has recommended a psychological evaluation, it is normal to feel nervous. Here is what to expect.
- It is an evaluation, not therapy. Dr. Guglielmi will ask about your history, your family, your experiences, and how you are feeling now. Her role is to give an honest, professional opinion for your case.
- It usually takes 1 to 3 sessions. You will also complete a few short questionnaires.
- You can speak in Spanish or English, whichever feels most comfortable. There is no interpreter.
- You set the pace. Talking about painful experiences can be hard. You can take breaks at any time.
- The report goes to your attorney, who decides how to use it in your case.
Your evaluation starts with your attorney. Ask them to contact Dr. Guglielmi to arrange a referral.
